Davy Sabourin is a queer public servant working in privacy law compliance. He is also a former Mental Health and Addictions Counselor in Ottawa. Davy completed college studies in the fields of police foundations, and mental and addictions, as well as university studies in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, as well as Social Work.
In his role as the Community Relations Officer on the Board of Directors of Capital Pride, he fulfills his passion of being an educator, connector and bridge builder between individuals, groups and communities. Recently, he led the creation of Capital Pride Youth Committee, which serves to meaningfully engage and empower young LGBTQ2+ folks in providing guidance and insight to the festival’s Board of Directors. Through his involvement, Davy wants to be an agent of change and engagement within the National Capital Region’s LGBTQ2+ community, and beyond.
In his spare time, Davy enjoys occasional Netflix binges, outdoor activities and spend time with his partner, Tristan.
