Ottawa – As Capital Pride launches its 2018 Festival, members of the media are invited to attend flag raising ceremonies where Pride Week will be proclaimed.

Mayor Jim Watson and Mayor Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin will raise the Pride flag in Ottawa and Gatineau, respectively.

The 2018 Capital Pride Festival takes place August 19-26, 2018 and includes two days of mainstage programming with rock icon Bif Naked and pop iconoclast Brooke Candy, an expanded street festival, 15 signature events, over 75 community events, and a parade of over 150 groups.
