Presented by MAX Ottawa
MAX Ottawa has teamed up for this year’s edition of SexNow. Sometimes referred to as “the gay census,” Sex Now is a national survey aiming at better understanding the health and wellness of guys into guys across the country. The information collected this year will help inform Canadian policy on blood donations made by guys into guys. Visit the SexNow booth on both the Saturday and Sunday of Capital Pride to participate.
Who can participate in the Sex Now Survey?
The study is open to any self-identified guy into guy. Participants aged 15+ can take part in the written survey. Folks aged 18+ can participate in both parts.
SexNow, sometimes referred to as the “gay census,” is a survey that looks to understand the health and wellness of guys into guys across the country. The anonymous information collected helps better understand the health & wellness of guys into guys in our various communities.
The survey this year is two parts this year: A survey that takes 10-20 minutes and DBS, or Dry Blood Spot collection. A few drops of blood will be collected. This data will then be passed on to CBS (Canadian Blood Services) with the hopeful goal of changing the present blood ban for guys into guys.
Participants who complete both parts will receive an honorarium of $10!
